  • Friday the 13th Superstitions Supper - May 13, 2016 - 4:00-7:00 p.m. For a FREE will donation you will get a delicious bowl of soup, roll, dessert and drink. We will have some rooms in the Old Courthouse Museum "decorated" with cats, ladders, horseshoes, etc. and superstitious sayings posted all over. Wear your lucky charm and come dine with us.
  • One-on-One Research/Training - All week, June 20-25, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or by appointment. Call to sign up for FREE 2-hour sessions with an ICGS volunteer.

    Get some serious research done in our archives or explore online services. We'll do our best to help you out. This is a very popular event, so sign up early.
  • Join us at the Iroquois County Agricultural and 4-H Fair, July 20-25. We will be in the Commercial Building with our publications for sale, great raffles and the ever-popular "Pick a Duck" game. Stop by to chat and grab a piece of candy and a fan.

  • French Seminar Day - August 27, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Come join us for an interesting day at the historic St. Mary's Catholic Church and Fellowship Hall in Beaverville, Illinois. We will have speakers on the history of the French-Canadian families who moved to this area, the history of the church and life of our ancestors in the area. The cost of registration includes lunch, snacks and chances at great door prizes. We are partnering with Kankakee Valley Genealogical Society on this event. Members of either society receive $5 discount on registration.
  • Cemetery Walk at Maple Grove Cemetery - September 11 in Milford, Illinois. Check back for time and names of those we will be portraying.
  • Harvest Daze on the Old Courthouse Grounds - October 1-2, Watseka, Illinois. We will be serving Ham & Beans dinner and having a genealogy presentation.
  • October is Family History Month - Watch for more activities all month.
  • ICGS Annual Membership Meeting - November - date to be announced.
