"FUN WITH PUMPKINS" RESULTS
RESULTS OF THE 2021 HARVEST DAZE
"FUN WITH PUMPKINS"
PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST
The 2021 Harvest Daze Pumpkin Contest theme "Fun with Pumpkins" celebrated creative ideas, and the ideas were plenty. We received 94 entries from very creative individuals! All entries were in the category of 13 years old and older. The winner of the "Guess the Weight" gave the exact weight.
We would like to give a special thank you to Robyn Butler, WCHS Art Teacher for coordinating entries of her students. We could not have displayed all these pumpkins without the tables and invaluable assistance of Phil Wilkey, WCHS Ag Teacher and FFA advisor and his students. Thanks to Sheila Schmidt for the use of her tents and to Wayne Lee for helping us set up and take down three 10' x 20' tents to house all those pumpkins. Thanks to Jessica, Tyler and Clara Runner for help sorting and counting votes. Photo credits go to Kim Rabe. -- Ginny Lee and Janet Anderson
UPDATE: Thanks to Robyn Butler for the following YouTube video of pumpkin entries of her students!
CATEGORY: 13 YEARS AND OLDER
For the category winners, we awarded 3 first place ribbons, 1 second place and a 2-way tie for third place.
